Cavatelli
- 4 cups flour
- ½ Tbs. baking powder
- 1 ½ Tbs. Crisco, melted
- Hot water as needed ~1 cup
- Place flour, baking powder and Crisco in a bowl
- Mix by hand until together
- Add small amounts of hot water at a time until dough is formed
- Knead on floured surface
- Place under bow I ~ half hour to keep moist
- Cut small pieces of dough and roll into long snake
- Cut ½" pieces and press and roll pieces on floured surface to form shell like pasta
- Boil in pot of water for 15 min.
- Serve with favorite sauce
